About Olga

Coast & Country founder and Cape Town based Interior designer, Olga Barrow’s focus has always been to support the local industry and to showcase African, and more specifically South African talent in a neutral and minimilist space. ‘I would like to think of the Coast & Country aesthetic to be clean and serene but still warm, a good balance between contemporary and traditional. We favour a natural and earthy colour palette – shades of brown, beige and white which enhances the collection’s timeless appeal. ’Olga has been an interior designer for the past 15 years. Having completed her training at the Inchbald School of Design, London, UK and after working as a designer at a London based architects firm, she returned to her beloved Cape Town to set up her own interior design studio. It was only recently that she decided to take the next big step and open a showroom, showcasing her love of beautiful objects. She treats the showroom as an extension of her own home.

Olga leads all design projects and is a central figure in all client relationships. Whether it’s a residential or commercial project, getting to know clients, understanding their needs and preferences, winning their trust and collaborating with them is at the heart of her work; and it’s something she finds particularly rewarding. She craves a design challenge and new opportunities to show of her ever-evolving style. No matter what the style she is asked to create, each space designed by Olga feels warm, elegant and unique.
